How To Power Level Your Paladin

By Mike Miller

If you find yourself interested in playing a paladin as you begin playing WOW, you will find they are one of the more versatile classes available. Paladin can fill any roll in a group whether or not they are tanking, damaging, or healing. They are capable of doing each of them equally well. If you plan on making the rush to 80 there are many things you should know about a paladin to keep the experience flowing steadily.

As you begin to play you need to remember to keep all your seals up. Each paladin seal lasts for 10 minutes. You need to keep these seals up due to the fact other spells won't cast without them! You have many seals that will be used for different purposes. You probably won't be using the same seal when you are soloing and when you are grouping.

Even though a paladin is not as reliant upon their equipment as warriors tend to be, they are still a plate class and you should look into your armor. You learn to wear plate at the level 40, you will need plate if you plan on tanking. Plate has much more armor than mail. But if you choose to be a healer, you should probably get focus on gear which increases your intelligence and mana regeneration.

If you end up by yourself you need to think about what you will do against a caster. Because you are a melee class, to attack you need to close the distance. It can be problematic if they are able to keep you at a distance not allowing you to fight back. You can stop a spell from casting by using Hammer of Justice, which is a good hint to keep in mind when you are fighting more than one caster.

If you are going to be leveling a paladin who is meant to heal, remember that there are many add ons that can help you. The seals that you place on your party members are going to be quite important, so look for add ons that will allow you to keep track of them. You can use macros to refresh those seals automatically, and this can greatly include the survivability of your group.

Professions are another serious thing to consider when you decide to level a paladin. You can make your own armor though blacksmithing(it will take mining to fund it) but you can take up engineering instead if you want more ranged attacks. Herbalism along with alchemy will be great for quick heals/buffs if you are not a healer type paladin, and you can also profit off of enchanting.

It can be a bit of a struggle to level a paladin without a good power leveling guide. Using a good power leveling guide that is matched to you, getting to 80 won't be a dream on the horizon. - 32500
