Getting Your Warrior Geared In WoW

By Mike Miller

When you are someone who is interested in playing one of the best tanks in World of Warcraft, you will find that you are likely looking at a warrior. Though paladins are more versatile, a Warrior might be one of your best bets for being able to take a lot of damage in the game. When you want to play a warrior, what do you need to know about keeping this class well geared? They say that the warrior class is very gear dependent, but what does this mean?

First of all, take a look at the blacksmithing and mining professions. These are extremely popular among Warriors, you can use them not only to keep your character well geared but you can also earn a ton of gold by selling through the auction house. Once you reach the level cap you'll be making the best armor for the end of the game, you could either make it for your character or sell it at a huge profit.

As a warrior, you are going to be a plate wearer. This means that you have the toughest armor in the game, but remember that armor rating isn't the only thing that you need to look for. The bonuses that the individual armor gives you to your traits are also going to be important, so consider which stats you should keep an eye out for.

The most important trait to build up for a Warrior is strength. Any item you can use to boost your strength rating is worth having. With more strength comes a higher attack power and before you know it you can turn your Warrior into a powerhouse.

If strength is not available look out for stamina gear. Stamina is the stat which provides even more health to you, and this can be a huge deal since you won't be wearing plate until you are level 40. If tanking is going to be your focus you need to keep out an eye for defense gear.

One thing that many warriors will do is to collect different sets of armor that will allow them to take on different situations. One set can help you increase your damage per second and put you in a damage dealing role for your party, while another set can help you tank more effectively.

Not only do you have get your gear, you should also consider taking care of it. As a warrior, you are going to be a melee class, and that means that your armor will be taking many hits. Consider repairing your armor early and often, and if you are in a large guild, asking for gold for repair bills is fairly common.

A leveling guide might be something you want to look into to no matter if something as simply as reaching level 40 so you can check out plate armor, or if you have higher goals of something like reaching end game. - 32500
