Warcraft Gold Generator, The 5 Steps to Success

By Paul Rone-Clarke

These five tips will help you become a serious Warcraft gold generator. These first tips work at any level, and are therefore ideal for low level characters.

1- Spend as much time as possible playing the game properly. Powerleveling as fast as you can. This does three things.

As you progress, you will access higher level areas, and this in turn will give you better loot. But the main reason is that, by combining questing with powerleveling, you have a great route to extra gold in the form of rewards, and of course a decent upgrade path with weapon and armour rewards

2- Get a portal to Dalaran. This is a fantastic method of working. Send a lower level character to Dalaran by paying for a portal (or asking a guild mate to send you) Once there, you can buy the high level consumable items that the vendors sell and post them back to put on your factions auction house. This is a great way to become a WotLK gold farming expert at a low level.

3- Transmute, disenchant, prospect, mill. Whatever ability you have. Most farmed items can be changed or altered. Check and see which state offers the best value. You can sometimes buy, alter and resell almost immediately for a profit.

4- Take the time to scan the auction house every day with an addon like auctioneer. Once you have a decent number of scans over a period of perhaps a week or two, then start looking for items that are on the market for a lot less than the average price. (I look for under 33% - and there are often lots of items like this) You can then buy these to sell back at a later date when the market has risen.

5- For some reason best known to themselves, many people don't put a buyout on items at auction. It's not good practice to do this, and these people will lose a lot of sales (I want that Axe now, not the day after tomorrow when your auctions 48 hours is up - i'll buy something else instead, or just forget it). Capitalize on these mistakes by filtering the AH GUI to pick up auctions that have less than 30 minutes to run, then minimum bidding on the bargains.

I notice many people on forums don't like the minimum bid and 1 copper raises. But why?

Do you like to give your hard earned gold away? If players are daft enough to put on items under priced and without buy-out then they will either be happy with the results and keep doing it - or learn very quickly what a terrible idea it is. It's not your job to educate. It's your job to leverage profit. It's only a game after all.

Good luck, you'll soon be well on your way to being a World of Warcraft Gold Generator. - 32500
